My mother is being cared for at Life Care Center of Waynesville and I doubt if there is a facility of this type that looks after its residents in a more caring manner. For almost a year my mother has been at Life Care Center and not once have I entered the facility and noticed any kind of foul smell or unsanitary conditions of any kind. There is an army of cleaning staff that care for the residents enough to keep the area clean and as cheerful as possible. The nurses, LPNs, cooks, maintenance staff, laundry staff, all persons do their job with care and professionalism with the main goal of making a difficult time in a person's life as easy as possible. I have personally witnessed many instances of the staff taking the time to lovingly talk with the residents and provide them with everything that is within their power to make them comfortable. Residents are all treated with dignity and respect as well as the families of the residents. I am kept informed by the staff of health issues concerning my mother that come up in a timely manner and I am always given a follow-up call updating me on my mother's condition. There is one reason that this level of care is happening at Life Care Center of Waynesville and that is the capable and caring management of this wonderful facility and the presence of a predominantly Christian faith based staff. There are no doubt fancier, more elegant nursing home facilities out there, but that doesn't mean they are caring. If you are looking for a place that you can trust to take the best care of you or your loved one, you can most certainly trust the Life Care Center of Waynesville.
We visited a relative patient at this center. We were highly impressed by the professional and friendly staff. One could see that our relative was extremely well cared for and assisted quite readily. Her special needs are being met quite expertly. The facility is quite clean and well maintained. Even though the premises is aging and the facility is needs updates.....this is an excellent care center and we are delighted with our relative's care and the upturn in her attitude and health since living in Life Care Center of Waynesville..
As an employee of LCCW I can honestly say, The family feeling you get from this staff is amazing. I feel as though we all genuinely care for each other and our residents. My experiences with family coming here for inpatient and outpatient services are great. My family was treated with respect and dignity and they felt truly appreciated. Not to mention the therapy they received helped them get back on their feet! I love this place and the staff that works here. It makes it easier to walk out my door every morning, away from my family, knowing that my co workers are also my family.
What price is peace of mind? My mother has been in the dementia section since March 2017. I live in Alabama so I can't see her daily. I just came from an unannounced visit with her. When I arrived she had just come from therapy and was about to have a shower. The room was clean and homey since you are allowed to have your fuzzy blankets. The staff is courteous and very patient with my mother even though she can get argumentative due to her illness. The staff even remembered me and would call my mother by her first name. While I was there they told my mom the time for her hair appointment. She was so happy about that because all her life she was so used to going to the beauty parlor so this was something she could remember. Dawn Payne, one of the directors, took time out of her busy schedule to talk to me. She even said they were getting ready to have an animal parade in Halloween costumes for the residents. When I left I could feel good knowing my mother is in "home" that is the best place she could be. In difficult times peace of mind means so much. Thanks to all the staff at Life Center.
