Good service and knowledge
I really don't know what went on while she was there all I know is my dog did not come home the same. She was excited when we picked her up but her energy was not the same... I know that probably sounds weird but we know our dogs personality and she just wasn't herself... She obviously lost weight because her collar slipped right off her neck when we were walking out. And she is napping with us in our room and she never naps with usshe usually has to be crated so she will sleep at night because she is so active.. also whining and twitching in her sleep she has NEVER DONE THAT. And drinking so much water she gagged..... like I said I don't know what happened... I wasn't there, however I know my dog... and the depressed dog the is laying at the foot of my bed is not the energetic pit bull I know...
I was disappointed in the other reviews. Our experience at Rocky Top Kennel was quite the opposite. First off if you have a dog, the dogs get out for 15 minutes a day, you can pay for an extra 15 minutes but that was my fault for being cheap. We were told that we could call and check up on our dog. My husband called a few times and left messages, none of his calls were returned. We even called the Rocky Top Pet Store to see if we could contact the kennel, they are owned by separate members of the same family and could not help us. Just so you know, when I called to inquire about giving them our business, they returned the call right away. When we picked our dog up he was filthy, wet, covered in sores and had visibly lost weight. They informed us that if anything happened they would call us and/or take him to our local vet. His skin condition is pretty bad. This was a pretty rough week on our dog and us as well. Overall I expected better customer service and communication. Oh yea, they took our damn dog scoop! How would they know how much food to give him if the scoop wasn't in the bin?
They always do a great job with our dogs! Very professionally run
Professional staff, very clean facilities. We had special needs animals that they catered to. They took care of our dogs for a week and we have absolutely no complaints, we would take our girls there again without hesitation.
